Microsmiths was set up by Steve Parrish and became a limited company in 1985, after trading as a partnership offering software development since 1980. Based in Newport Pagnell up until 1998, a move to Milton Keynes beckoned and Microsmiths is now based in the Tempus building in Midsummer Boulevard. The company continues to offer an excellent "one-stop-shop" service for all our clients' business computing needs. However, computers have changed a bit since the 1980s. In 1985, a portable computer weighed 30lbs!

To mark our 20th year, Stuart Marsh was promoted to Sales Director. "Our philosophy has always been to get to know our clients well. Each customer is allocated an account manager who looks after all their IT requirements - with a friendly approach. We know them and they know us".

Stuart has been with Microsmiths since 1997. Karen started in 2003. Kevin Murphy joined in 2004 as Sales Account Manager. Jason Welch, our Technical Engineer, joined us in February 2006.

Some customers have been with Microsmiths for many years too, including WD-40 based in Kiln Farm. "When you choose WD-40, 3-IN-ONE or 1001 you know you've purchased a brand that won't let you down. It's the same with Microsmiths" says Jonathan McCoy of WD-40.

Over the years Microsmiths has become a reseller for Hewlett Packard, IBM, Toshiba, Microsoft, Fujitsu Siemens, Epson, 3COM, Intel, Panasonic and Sony, to mention just a few. With our wealth of knowledge and experience, we can source virtually any PC based product. However, we are also well known for our customer support and after sales service. In fact Microsmiths excels in acting as a company's IT department, advising on, supplying, installing and supporting a small business' IT requirements.
